The DDX3X Foundation Scientific Conference is hosted annually and is the only scientific conference focused exclusively on advancing research toward treatments for DDX3X Syndrome. At the 2022 conference you will have the opportunity to:

- Meet other DDX3X families from around the world
- Hear the latest advancements in research related to DDX3X Syndrome including research being funded by money YOU raised
- DDX3X children and their siblings can interact and bond with one another in a safe environment
- Meet 1:1 with the leading clinicians in the world studying DDX3X Syndrome
- Network with Foundation leadership, researchers, and clinicians
- Learn about upcoming Natural History Studies and Centers of Excellence
- Discuss topics that are important and relevant to your family's situation
- A medical conference moderated by the Foundation’s Scientific Advisor (and rare disease mom) who will take time to “translate” the complicated information into an easy to understand format with time for questions to be asked if anything is unclear
- Learn DDX3X 101 from the Foundation’s Scientific Advisor who will present the information in understandable layman's terms

What's Included?
Pricing for the 2022 conference is $300/adult and $150/child ages 2 & older. This pricing is available until October 1 to ensure we are able to secure babysitting services and place food and beverage orders in advance. After October 1, the price will increase to $400/adult and $200/child.

Last year we were able to host families due to the generous grant we received from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. This year we do not have funding from the grant for the conference and have tried to keep costs to a minimum as The Foundation is covering the cost of all the researchers' and clinicians' travel, conference room rentals, AV equipment, etc.

Registration includes:

- Thursday afternoon small group sessions
- Welcome dinner on Thursday night
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks on Friday
- Access to all conference sessions on Friday
- Babysitting will be provided during the conference on Thursday and Friday by licensed and insured caregivers who have experience working with special needs children
- Small sessions and networking on Saturday
- Opportunity to meet 1:1 with DDX3X clinicians and researchers (If you would like to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Sherr at the conference email ddx3x@ucsf.edu)

We are considering offering transportation to and from Disneyland on Saturday and will base this decision on interest and cost.

All attendees are responsible for their own flights and travel to/from the conference as well as their own accommodations.

Hotel Information
A hotel block has been reserved at the main conference hotel at a discounted rate of $279 per night plus taxes and fees. Hotel reservations can be made using this link.
