Please join our community at The DDX3X Foundation's 12th Annual Scientific Conference taking place October 22-24, 2026 in Wilmington, DE at the Hotel DuPont.
The cost to attend the conference is $399/adult attendee and $149/child attendee. This includes a welcome reception and dinner on Thursday; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks on Friday; and a family fun activity with refreshments on Saturday; as well as access to all conference sessions on Friday.
A room block is available at Hotel DuPont. Sleeping rooms are available 10/21-10/25. All attendees are responsible for booking and paying for their own lodging.

Welcome and Opening Remarks

This session will set the stage for the rest of the conference and include an overview of our patient population, the work the Foundation is doing to advance research, and the research that is currently being conducted.
Understanding the Larger Scientific Picture and FAQs

This presentation will highlight how the Foundation’s scientific priorities advance the overarching goal of improving patients’ lives. It will also share key insights from the Research Roundtable, held the previous day for researchers and physicians.

Animal Models
10:45am - 11:45am
This panel discussion will provide an overview of the work being done on DDX3X in animal models and will answer important basic questions including: Why do animal models matter? Why should families care about animal models? How do they help DDX3X patients?
Gene Therapy Fireside Chat
11:45am – 12:30pm
The Gray Lab will present on the work they have done on gene therapy for DDX3X and outline what is to come with the help of funding from the Foundation. This session will also explain what gene therapy is and why it is a promising therapeutic approach.
Lunch

Clinical Findings & Patient Interaction
1:30pm – 2:15pm
This panel will include a presentation of recent clinical observations of patients as well as a discussion among participants about the natural history study.
Parent Panel
2:15pm – 3:15pm
Hear about the lived experiences of parents of children of varying ages and abilities. The audience will have ample time to ask questions.

Break Out Sessions
3:45pm – 4:45pm
Families will break into small groups based on areas of concern including communication, toilet training, sleep issues, Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome, puberty, and other common issues. These groups will be led by members of the Leadership Advisory Board. Additional details to follow.
